Introduction

Hi guys,
I'm Ciara and I find witches fascinating, I want to investigate whether people who call themselves witches are socially accepted in today's secular society. I want to do this investigation because when witch hunts were at their largest, religion ruled the world and was one of the most important things to nearly everyone in civilised society. This is now a different situation as (especially in England) religion is less important than it was in the early modern period and I want to see if attitudes have changed towards witches and the female sex. I will be looking at films, TV series, books, articles, blogs and interviews to complete my investigation, I have also sent out a survey to historians, philosophers, Christians, scientists, teachers, and other people aged 12-65. Any comments or contributions welcome.
I'll be back soon for the next update.
