Googles definition of witch

"A woman thought to have evil magic powers, popularly depicted wearing a black cloak and pointed hat and flying on a broomstick. An ugly or unpleasant woman."

To me this is how witches are depicted in popular children's or family films, however there are good (white) witches as well as ones who use their powers for evil. In some films for above 15 year olds witches are portrayed as being dark creatures, who worship the devil and use their powers to punish or hurt people as well as for the devils rituals. To me this definition is just a fractions of the popular view of witches.
